A four semester program to impart in-depth knowledge of molecular cell biology, computational biology and their applications. The curriculum covers courses in thermodynamics, spectroscopy, enzymology, metabolism, genetics, cell biology, analytical biochemistry and microbiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, immunology, molecular biophysics and bioinformatics, together with relevant laboratory programs, and a research project leading to a dissertation.

Admission Procedure for M.Sc Courses

· Biological / Chemical Sciences or

· Pharmaceutical / Veterinary / Medical / Agricultural Sciences or

· Engineering subjects / Physical Sciences with adequate exposure to Chemical / Biological sciences.

Any Science graduate with Biology at +2 level is eligible to take admission in M.Sc. Biotechnology, Bioinformatics,& Industrial Biotechnology course, should have 45% in Honours or 50% in aggregate.

For admission, one has to send a State Bank of India A/C payee Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- in favour of GIBS, Gunupur, payable at Gunupur (code no. 1090) towards the cost of prospectus and application form.
