BBA Student’s Unforgettable National Trip to Goa from GIBS
BBA students from GIBS Business School which is the top 10 business schools in Bangalore embarked on an exciting and unforgettable national trip to Goa. This journey not only provided them with a chance to explore one of India’s most popular tourist destinations but also included educational visits to Shreenidhi Papers Private Limited in Dandeli and Goa Dairy in Goa. With a perfect blend of industrial visits and tourist attractions, this trip promised to be an enriching experience for the 57 students from all three GIBS BBA batches and the accompanying staff members.
Day 1: Arrival in Dandeli and Adventure Sports
The journey commenced from the top business school GIBS Campus as the students boarded a bus heading towards Dandeli on the evening of 14th May 2023. After a night of travel, the students reached Vimal Jungle Stay Resort in the early morning hours of 15th May. Eager to explore the natural beauty surrounding them, the students embarked on a refreshing trek through the forest. During the trek, they witnessed the majestic Kali River flowing peacefully and admired the ancient trees that stood tall in their path. After the invigorating trek, a delicious breakfast awaited them before they embarked on a thrilling adventure. The students actively participated in various water sports such as zip-lining, river rafting, and boating, creating memories of excitement and camaraderie. Following the adventure, a visit to Shreenidhi Papers Private Limited was scheduled, where the students had the opportunity to witness the fascinating process of converting wood into paper using state-of-the-art machinery. Back at the resort, the students enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool and a lively rain dance, followed by a sumptuous dinner and a cozy campfire.
Day 2: Industrial Visit to Goa Dairy and Tourist Attractions
Day 2 began with the top business school GIBS BBA students bidding farewell to the resort in Dandeli after a fulfilling breakfast and embarking on a journey to Goa. Their first stop was the Goa Dairy, where they engaged in their second industrial visit. After capturing memories with a group photo, the students proceeded to the revered Mangeshi Temple, immersing themselves in the spiritual and architectural marvels of the place. Lunch was served near the temple complex, providing an opportunity for the students to savor local delicacies. The journey continued to the iconic St. Francis Old Goa Church, where the students admired its historical significance and architectural grandeur. As the day progressed, everyone checked into Hotel Palm Resort, their accommodation for the remainder of the trip. Eager to experience the beauty of Goa’s beaches, the students wasted no time and headed to Calungute Beach. The golden sands and the rhythmic waves provided a serene backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. In the evening, a lively DJ night at the resort set the stage for dancing and merriment, followed by a delectable dinner.
Day 3: Sightseeing and Water Sports in Goa
The third day was dedicated to exploring the captivating sights of Goa. After a scrumptious breakfast, the Top business school GIBS BBA students embarked on a journey to Fort Aguada, an architectural marvel that offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. The next destination was Sinquerim Beach, where the students reveled in the sun, sand, and sea, creating cherished memories. Returning to the resort for a delicious lunch, the students then headed to Baga Beach for an adrenaline-pumping session of water sports. The thrill of jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides added an extra dose of excitement to the trip. As the day drew to a close, the students gathered to witness the mesmerizing sunset, capturing the essence of Goa’s beauty.
Day 4: Exploring Karwar, Yana Caves
On the final day of the national trip, the GIBS BBA students embarked on a journey that combined cultural exploration and natural wonders. After breakfast, they visited the INS Chapal Ship Museum in Karwar, gaining insights into the maritime history of India. Continuing their journey, they made a brief stop near Mirjan Fort for a delectable lunch. The highlight of the day was the visit to Yana Caves, where the students embraced adventure through a 5-kilometer trek amidst nature’s marvels. The trek concluded with a visit to the revered Shri Marikamba Devi Temple in Sirsi, offering a moment of spirituality and reflection. With the last dinner served, the students bid farewell to the enchanting land of Goa and began their night journey back to Bangalore. Safely arriving at the GIBS campus on 19th May 2023 at 7:00 AM, they carried with them unforgettable memories and valuable experiences.
