Revolutionize Your Career with a Post Graduate Program in Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship (PGP-IRE) along with PGDM Program
At an unprecedented pace, businesses must adapt quickly to remain profitable in today’s increasingly unpredictable global environment. Innovation, research, and entrepreneurship skills are critical in order to remain successful within this dynamic climate; that’s why the GIBS IRE School exists; offering training to equip its students with skills in these areas. In this blog post, we will discuss how the GIBS IRE School is fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship among students.
The Importance of Innovation, Research, and Entrepreneurship(IRE):
Innovation is the practice of creating something novel that adds value to society – be it a product, service, process, or solution which meets a need in an innovative manner. Research involves investigating an issue to gain new information or deepen our understanding. Entrepreneurship involves initiating and overseeing a business venture that brings an innovative product, service, or idea to market.
The GIBS IRE School:
The GIBS IRE School is a complete action-learning school that provides hands-on experience to students in innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. At the school, a Post Graduate Program in Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship (PGP-IRE) certificate program runs for three trimesters and offers 18 credits of study. This certificate program helps students develop their knowledge and abilities in these areas in preparation for embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Trimester 1: Idea Generation and Finalization
At the beginning of each trimester, students are organized into seven-member groups under the supervision of facilitators who guide and support them as they explore developing workable ideas. Facilitators provide guidance and assistance so students can gain a better understanding of concepts while they gain experience through practice. By the conclusion of the trimester, each group should have a workable idea for moving forward.
Trimester 2: Idea Conversion and Working on a Prototype
In the second trimester, the chosen concept is revised and polished, and a prototype is developed with the help of the facilitators. The method used aids in developing the idea into a prototype, and the facilitators help to test and trial the concept before the prototype.
Trimester 3: Final Prototype
In the third trimester, the idea is transformed into a working prototype. The entire trimester is dedicated to this process, and the students are given the necessary resources to bring their ideas to life.
Evaluation: IRE Conference
The evaluation is done at the IRE Conference, which is held at a five-star hotel and features entrepreneurs who promote the students’ start-ups. Each PGDM student is required to submit their business plan to a jury at the conference. The business plans are evaluated based on their originality, feasibility, and marketability.
IRE Degree: IRE Convocation
Upon successful completion of the PGP-IRE, students receive the IRE degree at the IRE convocation ceremony. This degree represents their hard work and dedication to cultivating their skills and knowledge in innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.
GIBS IRE School stands as an emblematic reminder of the significance of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in today’s society. Students receive hands-on experience in these fields at this school to prepare them for their entrepreneurial journey. PGP-IRE is an innovative certificate program offered by GIBS which helps develop student ideas, concepts, products, real-world research studies, and businesses. The three trimesters of the program are designed to guide students from the ideation stage to the final prototype, with the final evaluation being held at the IRE Conference. The IRE degree is awarded to the student at the IRE convocation ceremony, marking the culmination of their efforts.
